Stonecarving
I have carved stone twice now, and neither time did I deliberately set out to do so. Here are the things I have made.
"The Alabaster Foot"
This is in quotes as if it's some artistic title but that's literally just what I call it, having no better name. It's a foot made of alabaster with a hole in the bottom for a lightbulb. Carved sometime around 2012 at an arts summer camp.
Here it is illuminated by a nightlight bulb.
"Crystal and Blobs"
Carved from soapstone in 2020 for a sculpture/design class in college. I also thought about illuminating this one, but the soapstone is much less translucent than the alabaster.
