So this company, Ramsey, used to make these really good electronics kits. I'm pretty sure I learned to solder on one of 'em. I've made several over the years, so here they are.
This device produces a high-voltage purple spark which can illuminate nearby florecent tubes and ignite paper towles. Fun.
This is a suprisingly powerful little amp, with power and audio in, two jumpers to adjust the gain, and a speaker connection on the out side. (mono)
It is actually really useful.
This one has three extension cords coming out of it, each coresponding to an audio frequency band. Basically it turns power to each output on and off based on the audio to its audio input. It also comes with this nice plastic enclosure.
This was the second Ramsey kit I ever built, the first being the long LED board on the right, which I got without realizing that it was an addon for this kit.
