Meep-Morp
A speaker made of garbage.
So named by my friend, Meep-Morp is a speaker I built in freshman year of college. Yes, we gave them a name (and ambiguous gender); yes, I think that's quite silly; yes, I'm still absolutely going along with it. Their internals are made from two discarded Joy of Electronics Amplifiers which had been abandoned by previous students of the class. This is why there are 2 volume knobs on top, one for each speaker.
The speakers themselves were salvaged from an old Sony rear projection TV that my dad's friend gave us. The box was from a recycling bin in the dorm. All in all, Meep-Morp sounds pretty good for literally 100% salvaged materials. Even the audio cable and power adaptor were found in an e-waste bin.
10/10 would recommend building a Meep-Morp to a friend.
